seen slipping out of co-star Shona McGarty's home after spending the night

The actor, who plays Ben Mitchell in the BBC1 soap,

was photographed visiting his co-home

star's in the early hours of Wednesday morning

just days after Max, 27, split from his pregnant ex-girlfriend

earlier this year and is now seen "most days" at Shona's

home in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire.

"They spend as much time together as they can,"

"Max can be seen entering or departing Shona's

house most nights or mornings.

The most of the time, he dresses in the same outfit.

"They've tried to keep their relationship under wraps,

and they arrive at the EastEnders set separately."
